FirstLight Home Care of Greater Dayton Recognized by Accreditation Commission for Health Care

Home care provider offering skilled nursing services through its new Healthcare Solutions program

CLAYTON, OHIO – JULY 28, 2021 – FirstLight Home Care of Greater Dayton proudly announces it has achieved accreditation through the Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC).

Accreditation is a process through which healthcare organizations demonstrate compliance with national standards for private duty home care services. Accreditation by ACHC reflects FirstLight’s commitment to meeting standards that facilitate a higher level of performance and client care.

“We have always been committed to providing the highest quality care,” said Mike Moyer, FirstLight Home Care of Greater Dayton Franchise Owner. “Going through the accreditation process further proves our dedication to meeting regulatory requirements and relevant standards set by a recognized accreditation organization such as ACHC.”

Introducing FirstLight Home Care Healthcare Solutions

Additionally, FirstLight Home Care of Greater Dayton has introduced its Healthcare Solutions program. These new services help clients manage their overall health and increase positive outcomes through a variety of skilled services provided by either an on-site Registered Nurse (RN) or a trained health aide working under the RN supervision and delegation.

FirstLight has been delivering non-medical home care services to adults in the Greater Dayton area for more than 10 years, including seniors, veterans, adults with disabilities and those recuperating. The Healthcare Solutions Program allows the provider to expand its offerings to include services such as medication management and administration, monitoring of vital signs, diabetic care, wound care and dressing changes, and oxygen/breathing treatments.

“Our Healthcare Solutions team members are skilled, compassionate problem solvers,” said Moyer. “These services give families peace of mind as they navigate the complexities of the healthcare system, while also helping to reduce hospital readmissions, decreasing the overall cost of care, and ensuring coordination of care.”

Moyer goes on to say that another important goal of accreditation is to help their caregivers excel, because through the program, FirstLight can expand caregiver education and enhance their overall skills. “We believe in taking great care of the people who take care of our clients. Providing additional training, skills development and learning opportunities to our caregivers helps us achieve that.”
